How far ahead do I need to book if the job isn't urgent?
For non-urgent work like a tap swap or a fit-out, a week or two ahead gets you the best pick of times, while anything urgent still gets seen the same day regardless of the calendar.
If something goes wrong with the work months later, what actually happens?
You call, exactly as you would for a new job, and the Lifetime Labour Warranty covers our own workmanship, so a genuine defect gets corrected without another invoice landing on you.
What payment methods do you take, and when is payment actually due?
Card, cash and payment plans are all accepted, and because the price is agreed in writing before work starts, paying on the day just settles the price you already agreed to.
I'm renting, not the owner. Can a job still go ahead?
Yes, once the owner or property manager approves anything beyond a like-for-like repair, and we're glad to deal with whoever manages the property directly on the quote.
Does the warranty cover the parts we fit, or only the labour?
Labour is covered for life, so a fault in how the job itself was done is on us, while manufacturer warranties on the parts fitted are a separate, brand-specific matter.

What happens if you find a second problem once you're already into the job?
Work stops, you're told exactly what's been found, and the extra job is priced separately so you decide whether it goes ahead, nothing gets added without your yes first.
Could a sudden jump in my water bill point to a leak I can't see?
It's a reliable warning sign, because a leak inside a wall or under a slab can run for weeks without a drop showing anywhere, so we test properly rather than guess.
Does plumbing work on an older home ever need council approval?
Most repairs and like-for-like replacements don't, since the plumbing code already covers those, though a full re-stump or a major drainage relocation sometimes does, flagged upfront if yours applies.
What should be ready before the plumber actually arrives?
Clear access to the work area helps most, and knowing where the water meter and main shutoff sit is useful, though if you don't, just describe the problem and we'll take it from there.
Nobody will be home during the day. Can outdoor work still go ahead?
Often, yes, since most yard and external jobs only need clear access, not someone standing over the plumber, though we'll always call ahead if getting inside turns out to be necessary.
